Yay - a long awaited Ze

Ze_s_page____zefrankcom__strike_day Welcome back our long lost friend. We were tired of watching live streaming geeks in their boxer shorts opening software packages.   {No embeds so click on image to watch}.

And once you are done being annoyed with media giants for trying to short-change their talent pool of writers..hop on over here to get ticked off at VC's.

It's just that kinda day.

Get the message people - Web 2.0/Social Media/blah blah - it ain't a quick fix --it is a disruption of economics, value and distribution!!

Power to the  people!

[I will now put away my revolutionary stance and go back  to my day job, wait, rabble-rousing is my day job..never mind]

I'm an Omnivore. What are you?

Continuing on our animal theme this week...

Grizzly_2Pew Internet & American Life Project's latest study on on Technology & Internet Use came out last month, but I only got around to looking at it today. I really like reading these reports as they pull me out of the "Echo Chamber" and remind me about how real people use the Internet.

It is no surprise that I am an "omnivore" by their standards, what are you?

Take the quiz - think of it as Meyer's Briggs for tech usage.

Get the report

What now?

Link-o-rama - some good tips & tricks

Here are a bunch of good posts written by some smart folks that caught my attention today:

  • Web 2.0 Button generator - yeah, I thought it was gonna be lame too, but this little thing is fun and practical.  I guess not everything with a Web 2.0 in front of it is old news..;).  Thanks Pete.

And last but hopefully not least,  a self-promo link:

  • Continuing on the theme of transparency, I am officially Clue Unit #15 - [yeah!] courtesy of the podcast interview I did last week with Jake McKee, Lee LeFever and Christopher Carfi.  The three amigos and I discuss the implications of transparency between company and customer. I really respect these guys and was honored to be invited. [Note: in future I will fine my self $1 for each "um"]

[Yeah, I could just use my automatic posting with delicious for the above links - but then there would be no real context. Note to guys at delicious - i got some feature requests]

Community Evangelism Workshop

As promised - here are the slides from the workshop Anil and I ran at Web2Expo. Some of the meaning will be lost on those who were not in the room, but we hope it provides some guidance and food for thought

I have also started a new del.icio.us account - username Relationship_Economy - specifically as an umbrella for all things community, social media and new marketing related.  This way folks who are always asking for tools, blogs to read etc can just subscribe to the feed to keep up.  I have to thank Niall Kennedy for this smart idea that he shared with me as he does the same thing for feed related stuff.

At the moment the account is a good start and contains a bunch of bookmarks to blogs, books and tools.  It is by no means meant to be all inclusive,  So, please I invite you to add your own, just tag em with "relationship_economy" and share the wealth.

Note: Jerry MIchalski [ aka mr. relationship economy] is back online!
